Getting your environmental permit is a milestone, but it is not the end. Permits come with conditions — monitoring, records, audits and renewals — that apply every year your site operates. An environmental AMC (annual maintenance contract) is one way to make sure none of these are missed.
What is an environmental AMC?
It is a 12-month contract in which your environmental consultant keeps your site inspected, monitored and permit-ready throughout the year. Instead of arranging each visit, test and renewal separately, one team manages them for you.
What does it usually include?
- Regular site compliance inspections, with a report and a fix plan for any issues
- Environmental monitoring — ambient air, noise and wastewater / effluent, plus any parameter your permit requires
- Compliance audits against your permit conditions and management plan
- Permit and NOC renewal management
- Support during authority inspections
Why it matters
A lapsed permit can hold up your trade licence or your operations, and monitoring that falls behind is hard to explain at an inspection. A yearly contract keeps everything on schedule while you focus on running your business.
How to choose the right level
| Package | Best for |
|---|---|
| Basic | Small sites with a simple permit |
| Standard | Operating industrial sites with regular monitoring |
| Premium | Large or high-risk sites and multi-permit operations |
Three things to check before you sign
- Your permit conditions. They often fix how often monitoring must be done — the contract must meet that minimum.
- What is included. Check visits, monitoring, audits, renewals and inspection support line by line.
- What is extra. Government fees are normally paid at cost, and new studies or permits are usually quoted separately.
